The purpose of the Christchurch City Choir Foundation Trust is to:
Assist the Christchurch City Choir
Promote and foster choral music in Christchurch
Its vision is to grow an endowment fund of sufficient size so that a sustainable income can partially support the operations of the Christchurch City Choir.
The Christchurch City Choir foundation trust is registered with the charities commission and is governed by an independent board of trustees. Gifts to the foundation are tax deductible.

The Trustees
Phil Brazier
Philip began singing in 1972 with Auckland Choral, then Seattle Chorale and Christchurch Harmonic in the 1980s. Joining Christchurch City Choir in 2014, he was board chair from 2018-2024. He had a 38 year engineering and business career with Air New Zealand and Christchurch Engine Centre including international marketing, sales and contracting until leaving in 2009 to start his own consulting business from which he retired in 2023. Richard Hill Richard is a retired consultant scientist in Christchurch. He has been a member of the choir for over 30 years and is a former chair of the Christchurch City Choir board of management. Jocelyn Hill Jocelyne is a retired accountant with a Post-graduate Diploma in Arts Management, and has worked with the Auckland Philharmonia, the Kodaly Academy of Music Singapore and is Treasurer for the Christchurch City Choir. She joined the choir in 2021 on her return to Christchurch from overseas. Contact the Trust

Supporting the TrustWith your help we will assure that symphonic choral concerts continue to be an integral part of the Christchurch arts scene.
Donation – consider contributing directly by donation to the annual operating expenses of the choir, but if you would like to invest in its long-term future, the Trust would be happy to accept your donation, however large or small Bequest – consider remembering the Christchurch City Choir Foundation Trust in your will Long-term loan – consider lodging a secure, interest-free loan with the Christchurch City Choir Foundation Trust so that the trust can benefit from interest returns Life insurance – consider taking out a life insurance for which the Christchurch City Choir Foundation Trust is the beneficiary If you wish to make a bequest by will or a codicil to your will we suggest the following words; “I give and bequeath the sum of $... to the trustees, for the time being, of the Christchurch City Choir Foundation Trust to be used for the general purposes of the foundation in a support for the aims and objectives of the Christchurch City Choir. The receipt from the secretary or chair of the board for the time being shall be sufficient receipt and discharge or my Trustees”. |
